Does it feel like the world is too much, and everyone else has life figured out?
Episodes of anxiety can be very scary. Mostly because we don't have a sense of control over them, and we don't know what to expect. I've had my fair share of anxious moments, but it was after I started the process of taking back my power and confronting the lies I believed about being enough, that I really understood what anxiety was and wasn't.
People are always telling themselves stories about why they are not enough. These are called our limiting beliefs, and in order to overcome anxiety or any other challenge we must go deeper and uncover them.
I asked myself: What's true about anxiety?
What's true about anxiety is that it does make you feel out of control, and it does make you feel like you're on a roller coaster ride of emotions from one day to the next.
The overwhelming feelings are the results of obsession on how to stop the worry cycle, even when you know that your anxiety is more extreme than the actual situation. Also, you force yourself to be peaceful and the peace that comes with force is anxiety. You tend to believe strongly that worrying will prevent bad things from happening so your understanding is that it is risky to give up worry. Therefore you tend to always plan to control your anxiety which literally you only rehearse the anxiety.
I use integrative therapies and treatments that can help a person with anxiety. Cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT), Psychoanalysis, hypnotherapy, and neuro-linguistic programming ,that is designed to help an anxious person gain control over her/his life.
